Due to large quantities of rain that occured in August of 2009, which resulted in Lapeer County being declared a disaster area, many portions of the trail between Dryden and Imlay City have been partially or fully washed out. The State of Michigan is currently looking into funding to repair these washouts. Washouts are particularly dangerous near the bridges in the portion of the trail between Hollow Corners Rd, north to Hunters Creek Rd. Use extra care if you intend to use these areas.
TRAIL DESCRIPTION
The Polly Ann Trail corridor in Lapeer County, from Bordman Road to Kings Mill, is owned by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, and may be used by anyone abiding by the rules of the corridor. The rules are that no motorized vehicles (including snowmobiles) may be used on the trail, and no hunting is allowed on the trail. The trail is clear and maintained in Dryden Township, Dryden Village, and Imlay City, though it is umimproved and may be rough and wet in spots (except Imlay City). In Arcadia, Attica, and Imlay Townships, the trail is mowed periodically, but is unimproved and can be quite rough, uneven, and wet in some areas.
